Welcome to Maison Murphys. This guide contains important information to help you enjoy the property safely and comfortably during your stay.


EMERGENCY INFORMATION

Emergency Services: 911

Please call 911 immediately in the event of any medical emergency, fire, or situation requiring police assistance.
If the emergency affects the property, please notify us as soon as it is safe to do so.
Keep the property address readily available when contacting emergency services.


FIRE SAFETY

The home is equipped with smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors for your safety.
A fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink.
For your safety:

  • Never leave cooking unattended.

  • Never use outdoor cooking equipment indoors.

  • Do not disable smoke or carbon monoxide detectors.

  • Do not use candles or open flames inside the home.


WILDFIRE AWARENESS

Murphys is located in California's Sierra Foothills, where wildfire conditions may occur during warmer months. Monitor local emergency alerts during periods of elevated fire risk.
If an evacuation becomes necessary, always follow instructions issued by local authorities. If an official evacuation order is issued, leave the property immediately and notify us once you are safe.


POWER OUTAGES

Occasionally, the region experiences temporary electrical outages due to weather, maintenance, or utility issues.
These interruptions are typically resolved by the local utility provider as quickly as possible.
Flashlights are located in the hallway cabinet and near the kitchen back door.

Please keep flashlights readily available after dark and avoid opening the refrigerator or freezer unnecessarily during extended outages.


WATER & PLUMBING

As with many properties in the Sierra Foothills, water conservation is appreciated.
Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Items such as wipes, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and other materials may damage the plumbing system.


HEATING & COOLING

Please keep doors and windows closed while heating or cooling is operating. If you experience any issues, contact us rather than attempting repairs.


PARKING

Please park only in designated parking areas.
Do not block neighboring driveways, sidewalks, or emergency access routes.


WILDLIFE

Deer, wild turkeys, birds, squirrels, insects, and other wildlife are common in the Sierra Foothills. Please enjoy wildlife from a respectful distance, never feed wild animals, and keep doors closed to discourage insects from entering the home.

Do not leave doors open, especially at night.


OUTDOOR SAFETY

Please use outdoor areas responsibly.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times while on the property.
Uneven surfaces may become slippery when wet.
Use caution after dark and carry a flashlight if walking outside.
Outdoor surfaces may become slippery when wet. Please use appropriate footwear and exercise caution.


SECURITY

Please lock all doors and windows whenever leaving the property.
Before departure, ensure all doors are secured.
Maison Murphys cannot be responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.


EXTERIOR CAMERAS

Exterior security cameras monitor the front entry, driveway, side garage/barbecue area, and side yard for safety and property protection. No cameras or recording devices are located inside the home or in areas where guests have a reasonable expectation of privacy.

NOISE MONITORING

A privacy-safe indoor noise monitoring device is installed in the living room to help prevent excessive noise and unauthorized parties. The device measures sound levels only and does not record conversations, audio, or video.


PROPERTY CARE

This home has been carefully restored and thoughtfully furnished.
We kindly ask that you treat it with the same care you would your own home.
If something is accidentally damaged during your stay, please let us know promptly. Prompt communication allows us to resolve most issues quickly.
